Our History

From Industry Insight to Innovation

Private Residence International (PRI) was founded to solve a simple problem: luxury real estate wasn’t working for people the way it should.

After more than a decade in the vacation and timeshare industry, our founder, Laura Alexis, saw the same frustrations again and again, rigid structures, poor resale value, and little flexibility. People wanted real ownership, but what they got instead was a plan that rarely fit their lifestyle or long-term goals.

So, Laura set out to build something better. PRI was born as a boutique consulting and management firm designed to help clients and property owners create lifestyle-aligned, income-producing assets, without the traps of old models.

The Costa Rica Foundation

We began our journey in Costa Rica, recognizing the immense potential of the Guanacaste region. By partnering with iconic brands like Waldorf Astoria and boutique gems like Casa Chameleon, we established a gold standard for international fractional sales and management.

The Miami Expansion

As our network grew, so did our vision. We expanded into the Miami market to meet the demand for flexible, high-yield urban assets. Today, we offer co-ownership opportunities in Miami’s most forward-thinking developments—including LOFTY Brickell, Domus, and The Rider Wynwood—specifically chosen for their home-sharing potential and investment stability.
